Permanent Long Term Care at Balcarres Extended Care Home
Permanent Extended Care Resident: Our spacious rooms are designed to accommodate both single and couples. Your loved ones are under the supervision of our 24 hour care staff to look after their every need. Their medications are managed by our qualified staff and along with our laundry, housekeeping services, and entertainment, life couldn't be any better! Our facility is conveniently located next to a medical clinic that has 2 physicians, an optometrist, a physical therapist and a massage therapist. It isn't uncommon to see these doctors in our facility making a house call. The monthly rent is determined on the service each individual requires and the square footage of living space requested.
Semi-Private Rooms Starting at $1,400/month, $1,450 with Cable
Private Rooms Starting at $1,700/month, $1,750 with Cable
Double Rooms Starting at $2,450/month, $2,500/month with Cable
Permanent Assisted Living Resident: We provide all the same basic services; however, the individual requesting this service must be responsible for monitoring their own medicines and can carry out all their normal daily functions without any assistance from our qualified staff. In summary, we provide a room, meals, housekeeping, laundry and entertainment services, in addition to helping with health and safety. This service is available for individuals who are able to take care of themselves but are unable to move about in today's busy society because of an unfortunate circumstance, such as not being able to renew their driver's license. This may restrict their ability to pick up groceries, visit friends and perform other necessities when there is inadequate public transportation in the area. The advantage of this type of care eases the worry about living alone, and the responsibility of home maintenance such as shoveling the snow or mowing the lawn. In addition to the basic services offered at our facility, individuals can socialize and make new friendships resulting in a healthier environment, both emotionally and intellectually. Temporary Care at Balcarres Extended Care Home
Adult Weekly Care: This type of care provides growing families with both adults working, the opportunity to drop off their parent(s) on Monday morning and pick them up on Friday. It is especially helpful during week long vacations when the immediate family needs to travel whether to a domestic or international location. This option helps families reduce extra vacation expenses by not having to purchase an extra airline tickets, hotel cost and medical insurance(if available). This care option eliminates the high medical cost one expects in a foreign country should their parent(s) require medical attention. (If the family's vacation plans are longer, we can tailor a package for your specific needs). No need to worry about their parent(s) medical & prescription needs, an immobilizing accident, accidentally leaving the gas running on the stove, etc. This reduces or eliminates the tension and anxiety on the family. In addition, the parent can socialize, interact and make new friendships with other seniors with similar interests creating a healthier environment, emotionally and intellectually. Our cost is determined on services required. (Starting at $350 / week)
**Please note that due to the popular demand of these services, both the Adult Week & Weekend Care is dependent on the availability of beds in our facility.
